Ana Campoy nació en Madrid en 1979, en pleno puente de la Constitución. Es una apasionada de los libros y el cine, y desde pequeña se dedicó a devorarlos sin freno.
Tras licenciarse en Comunicación Audiovisual, comenzó su carrera en la televisión, el cine y la radio, donde trabajó como guionista y locutora. También suele acreditarse como periodista cultural.
En 2022 su novela Pepa Guindilla resulta ganadora del Premio de la Fundación Cuatrogatos de Miami. En 2017 gana el Premio Jaén de Narrativa juvenil con la obra La cronopandilla: el túnel del tiempo. Es autora, además, de Pen Friends (2021- , Molino), Familia a la fuga (2018- , Loqueleo-Santillana), Arturo Leal y el perro fantasma (2019, SM), Todo eso que nos une (2018, Anaya), la colección Las aventuras de Alfred & Agatha (2011-2015, Edebé), El dragón del Parque Güell (2015, La Galera), Descubre Madrid (2014, La Galera) y las adaptaciones en verso para primeros lectores El Lazarillo de Tormes (2016, La Galera) y Don Quijote de la Mancha (2015, La Galera).
Sus libros han traspasado fronteras y se han vendido a países como Francia, China, Portugal, Italia, Grecia, Polonia, Turquía, Rumanía y Eslovenia.
Ana Campoy también colabora como periodista cultural. Ha participado en Hoy por hoy Madrid (Cadena Ser) con el espacio de literatura infantil «Un libro, un niño, un mundo» y ha escrito en las revistas Jot Down, Jot Down Kids y Canino.
También se encarga de coordinar la sección infantil del Festival Celsius 232 celebrado cada año en Avilés.
Vive entre Madrid y Valencia.
Ana Campoy was born in Madrid in 1979, and since her childhood has felt an irresistible attraction towards books and cinema. After finishing her studies of Audiovisual Communication she worked in several fields, including film, television and radio, with credits to her name as performer, radio host and screenwriter. She is also journalist.
In 2022, her novel Chilli Pepa won the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award of Miami. In 2017 she won the Jaen Award of Youth Literature with The chronogang (2017, Montena).
She is also the author of Pen Friends (2021- , Molino), Family on the run (2018- , Loqueleo-Santillana), Arturo Leal and the ghost dog (2019, SM), All that bind us (2018, Anaya), The Alfred & Agatha Series (2011-2015, Edebé) , Park Güell’s Dragon (2015, La Galera), I’m a Superhero Series (2015, Edebé), The Quixote (2015, La Galera), Lazarillo of Tormes (2016, La Galera) both adapted for children and Discovering Madrid (2014, La Galera).
Her books have been a success in Spain therefore the rights have been sold to France, China, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Romania and Slovenia.
Beyond this, Ana Campoy coordinates children’s writers line-up and panels in the International Festival of Fantastic Literature Celsius 232, celebrated each summer in Avilés (Spain). She also has collaborated in Cadena Ser radio talking about children literature and has written for Jot Down, Jot Down Kids and Canino magazines.
Campoy currently devotes her full time to literature, writing and attending encounters with readers in schools, trying to teach them creativity.
She lives between Madrid and Valencia.
